Crescent Bay Castle

 The Crescent Bay Castle was built in 1926 by French architect, Jean Egasse for his personal residence and studio.  Constructed at the height of the "Storybook" era, Egasse utilized local rock, clinker brick and heavy timbers in creating a whimsical piece of art that provided adequate space for his office as well as a fine residence for his family.  Egasse was born in France and spent the last 10 years of his life designing what have become landmark Laguna buildings. Many of his designs have become a very important part of its identity.
